Terms and conditions for web hosting at DevNet
The services available, subject to agreement with the client, are as advertised on our website. DevNet undertakes to make these services available on a 24x7 basis at 99.9% availability.
Payment is monthly in advance being due on the first of each month unless otherwise agreed by DevNet.
The client is responsible for ensuring that payment of fees is made by the 15th of each month unless otherwise agreed. If no payment is received by the end of the month then the account may be suspended and the website taken down.
Payments can be made quarterly in advance. Please contact DevNet if an appropriate invoice is required but has not been received.
Devnet will not host on its server content which has a political or partisan bias or which is deemed racist, sexist or pornographic or which promotes hatred or violence.
The client shall not abuse the services provided to the detriment of DevNet, other clients or internet users in general for example by sending out spam, viruses etc. Such behaviour can result in immediate termination of the account without refund.
Storage and Security
While DevNet does periodic backups and will assist in the event of damage to a website in the event of a system problem, the client shall bear full risk of loss and damage to their web site and web site content.
The client is entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password(s) and account information. The client agrees that they are solely responsible for all acts, omissions and use under and charges incurred with the account or password or in connection with the site or content displayed, linked, transmitted through or stored on the server.
The client is expected take measures to:
(i) prevent any loss or damage to their web site content;
(ii) maintain independent archival and backup copies of web site content;
(iii) ensure the security, confidentiality and integrity of all the web site content transmitted through or stored on our servers;
(iv) ensure their website does not endanger the security of the server or data belonging to other clients and
(v) ensure the security and confidentiality of their passwords.
In the event the client terminates service, copying / moving the web site off the hosting server is the responsibility of the client during the period of service. Once the period of service ends DevNet is free to delete the web site.
